Recreation

The Parish has many opportunities for recreation with three recreation grounds, three football pitches, a cricket pitch, petanque piste, bowls club, rifle club, angling club and as gardening is considered a recreational activity, we have two allotment sites. Facilities within the Parish

Handcross
Large recreation ground situated in the High Street. The site has two football pitches and a petanque piste. There are also two playgrounds designed for age groups from 2 - 14 and a half basketball pitch. Dog owners are reminded that dogs should only be exercised on a lead around the perimeter of the recreation ground and must clean up after their dogs. Dog bins are provided.

In addition, there is a District Council children's playground in West Park Road. There is also a bowls club and a rifle club accessible from the Parish Hall, High Street.

Pease Pottage
Finches Field Recreation Ground and Football Pitch, Old Brighton Road South. This is owned by the District Council - for bookings, contact for the pitches contact the Leisure Team on 01444 458166
The Parish Council own the new Sports Pavilion contact our booking secretary on the Clerk clerk@slaughampc.co.uk The District Council are looking to improve the outside space at Hemsleys and Finches Field and are currently (February 2020) consulting with the key stakeholders and community on this please link here for more information. 

Slaugham
A small children's playground owned by the Parish Council at the top end of Park Road also known as "The Street".

Warninglid
A recreation ground owned by the District Council and used mainly for cricket and football. For bookings - contact 01444 458166.

Nymans Gardens
The Gardens are owned by the National Trust and are situated on the B2811, Staplefield Road, Handcross, Nr. Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
